2011 Fall Workshop

Petrophysics in Tight Oil

The Denver Well Logging Society invites you to attend our 2011 fall workshop on “Petrophysics in Tight Oil”, being held Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at the Colorado School of Mines.

Overview:

As Industry's focus remains on Unconventional Reservoirs and these reservoirs become increasingly unconventional, the Petrophysicists task of Reservoir Evaluation is ever more challenging. This workshop focuses on petrophysics in tight oil reservoirs and explores the major areas of consideration for petrophysicists and log analysts: Characterization, Geomechanics, Pore Scale Imaging, NMR, and Challenges in the Niobrara.

Instructors:

Manika Prasad – Colorado School of Mines
Changed to: Mike Batzle – Colorado School of Mines
Petrophysics and Rock Physics of Shale Reservoirs

Andy Hawthorn and Peter Kaufman – Schlumberger
