As I write this Denver is getting its first snow of the year. It is a reminder that 2016 is almost behind us. If I have learned anything from living and working in the oil and gas industry for almost 40 years it is the importance of connections and friendships. That is why I always look forward to our society’s social gatherings. This year our Holiday gathering will be Tuesday, December 13th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Rialto Café on the 16th Street mall. I would urge all of you to come by and reacquaint yourselves with old friends, make new connections and maybe even raise a glass as 2016 winds down. It has been an interesting year full of ups and downs. It has been for me my first full year back in the consulting world and a year full of making new friends and saying goodbye to some cherished old ones. Consider bringing along a colleague as well. As the expression goes, there is always room for one more. Lastly, I want to express my wishes for a joyous holiday season and for my wish that 2017 will be your best year yet, both personally and professionally.
