Speaker Biography
Jason is a native Coloradan and has worked, studied, and played all over the western part of North America. Jason earned a B.S. in Geology from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and an M.S. in Geology from the University of Montana, Missoula, focusing on sedimentology/stratigraphy.
He began his career in Midland, TX with Schlumberger PetroTechnical Services; eventually transferring to Denver. Locally, Jason also worked at Fracture ID and now works as an Account Executive at Rogii.
Jason has extensive experience in unconventional reservoirs – focusing on subsurface evaluation, new technology, and optimizing well placement and operations. He is also good at getting engineers to talk to geologists.

Hi DWLS Members,
It’s time to start the 2023 – 2024 season of DWLS Lunch and Learns! I am honored to be serving one more year as your DWLS President. Please welcome to the board, Ridvan Akkurt, who will serve this year as our VP of Technology. The board is excited to bring you some unique talks this year focusing on how petrophysics and log analysis is applied in different applications (CCUS, Restimulation Evaluation, etc.) as well as how it’s used by other disciplines in the industry. We are going to kick it off with a fun presentation from Jason Edwards as he talks Geosteering World Cup!
We will start off our meetings at Wynkoop for a lunchtime talk, but stay tuned throughout the year as we might switch to a different place or time for a couple of the meetings! Also, note that for October and November, the meetings will be held on the 2nd Tuesday, October 10, and November 14, so we don’t interfere with ATCE and the Thanksgiving holiday.
As always, please feel free to reach out to me or any of your board members with suggestions and comments.
